Wooden Toy Rifle
It was a snowy day in October and my daughter wanted to dress up as Annie Oakley for Halloween, so we decided to make her a wooden toy rifle.
I sketched out the shape on a section of 2x4, and cut it out on my bandsaw. I used a forstner bit to drill the hole for the trigger guard. Then I split that in two on the bandsaw, to get two rifles from the same piece of wood. Then finished them with a bit of sanding and oil.
Kids have had a lot of fun with them over the years. The wood under the trigger guard has been broken off and re-attached with wood glue a few times.
